Sea Life.

This week's travels bring me to the lovely Bright House Field once again, home of the Clearwater Threshers. This trip isn't specifically for the Threshers, as I have recently attended a game there. The Threshers, this upcoming Friday nite are having one of the most unique giveaways I've ever seen: a bobbletail. Not a bobblehead, bobbletail.

Jump it.

The Threshers are partnering with the Clearwater Marine Aquarium to help raise funds for it, and to help their efforts in animal rescues. One such rescue, Winter, the subject of a 2011 feature film, has lived in the Clearwater Aquarium since 2005. Winter will be featured in this very unique giveaway, which shows off her prosthetic tail; her original tail was lost in surgery after complications with a crab net.

The first 2,000 fans in the gates will receive a bobbletail! I know I'm excited!

On Saturday nite, I will be travelling the two hours from Tampa Bay to Viera, Florida; home of the Brevard County Manatees (keeping with our theme of marine life). I attended a game earlier this year at Space Coast Stadium, but it was a Washington Nationals Spring Training game. The Manatees recently announced via their twitter feed that the team will be sporting special uniforms for BeachSide Weekend! These uniforms will be in an online auction following the weekend's games.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the stadium is like during a Minor League game!
